ACTION IN KALAPIDA

Today we decided to go to Kalapida village which we visited on 25th December, and distribute blankets to all the villagers. Brother Lala susanta Ray assisted by a sai youth namely Manas took blankets and moved on a bike to the said village. When reached there we were greeted with smiling SAIRAM from all the villagers. This was our third visit. With just two visits we found the whole vilage has become a SAI village. It was an exciting experiance to visit door to door and distribute blankets where all the village members greet us with Sairam. We felt the presence of Swami in that village. We saw how Swami is doing His work and just giving us an opportunity to be a part of HIS mission.

She has none in this world other than this dog as her own. Finally, she is happy that Swami has sent blankets for her.

When we said SAI BABA has sent this for you, she was in tears, showing her gratitude to SWAMI. She bowed down to SWAMI and kept on saying SAIRAM.

While doing our distribution work we found an orphan in that village. The boy is of 6 years old and he has none other than a sick mother. Immediately we decided to take that boy to SAI ANANDAM and provide AMRUTHA KALASHAM to her mother. All the villagers agreed to this proposal. After taking care of legal issues the boy will be joining SAI ANANDAM by next week.

We had detected two children having brain maleria on 25th. Due to poor financial conditions they could not take injections which the local doctor prescribed. Today we decided to take them to Cuttack medical college for proper treatment. Tomorrow our youth brothers will take them to the hospital.

We returned with full of bliss thanking SWAMI for giving us this type of opportunity.

GRAM DARSHAN BY TEAM SAI ANANDAM

SaiRam to all,

It was an exciting day for team SAIANANDAM. After morning nagarsankirtan there was cake cutting ceremony. The morning started with excited chantings like " merry christmas", "happy birthday to SAI JESUS". Stories of Jesus were told to the boys brother sathyaswaroop. Regular members of the team got into action preparing a sumptuous food for the kids.
Some of SAI students and two SAI youths of the team decided to go to an interior tribal village. We were informed that those villagers do not get sufficient food to survive themselves. We moved on by two bikes. We reached a point from where bikes cannot go.We had already travelled 16 kilometers from SAI ANANDAM. We decided to walk. But the forest police advised us not go further as it may cost our lives since many wild elephants roam around that place. We were looking for some tribal village where we can take up some SEVA activities. Some of the local tribal people who were passing by gave us some information about a nearby village. We moved on to that village immediately. Around 12-14 kuchha houses were there. We spoke to the villagers. They did not have electricity, no good house, not proper clothing. But when we enquired about their need they seem to be contented with what they. They said we don't need anything. By saying SAI RAM we moved back.
On the way back we saw a small village bit inside the jungle. On of the brother was eager to see that village. We entered the village namely" KALA PIDA". We found all the villagers are daily labourers having no proper houses, no proper clothing, no food to survive the. When we enquired about them, they were eager to take our help.We felt happy that SWAMI has taken us to the right place. In one family two(one boy and one girl)of them having brain malaria were found. Our team doctor, brother sathyaswaroop examined them. He found them in serious condition. At the first instance we decided we will give mosquito nets to this family. Tomorrow one of us will go and give mosquito nets to them. Brother Manas, a sai youth gave them some Vibhuti and on small picture of SWAMI. We were surprised to learn that they knew SAI BABA before. Where electricity has not reached, government schemes have not reached, SAI BABA has reached there. We felt happy that SWAMI has sent us to that village for HIS work. By saying SAI RAM we returned and decided to go back with full preparation and participate in SWAMI's work.

CHRISTMAS AT SAI ANANDAM

Dec 25th- Our brothers gathered at SAI ANANDAM at 9.30 am. We started the day with writing letters to Bhagawan to be sent through Lala bhai. The children had so many doubts as this was their first letter. Finally they all got dowm to work enthusiatically and put their pens , sketches and colour pencils to full use and came up with sweet innocent expressions of their love for the Lord.
Then bro Manas got into the act and started Vedam classes for the children. Today was the first day but the little ones were very enthusiatic and wanted more. They were given vedam books and they said"we will take it to school and learn during free periods." They were also eager to learn the Kshyama prarthana in case they make mistakes. Their enthusiasm touched us. We realised that it is Bhagawan who is inspiring them, we are mere instruments.
Then we had a christmas special lunch, paneer mutter curry being the star attraction. After lunch, bro. Sathya spent some time telling the kids stories of Jesus Christ. They had so many doubts that even our brother was left stumped. Then we shared a few more moral stories and had an impromptu discussion on karma and rebirth(these kids are moving fast). At 2.30 the chidren went for their weekly 'video show' and we departed from SAI ANANDAM. It was truly our merriest christmas after leaving Parthi. Thank You, Swami, for this golden opportunity.

Swami Blessing Sai Anandam

Many years back Swami was interacting with the students in TrayeeBrindavan. And Swami asked the boys why do they write letters to Him when theybelieve He is omniscient? Then before anyone could reply, the Lord Himself gavethe answer. He said "when you write a letter its a double blessing. Whenyou write the letter you think about Me. That's a great blessing becausenone can even think about the Lord without His blessing. And secondly when Iread the letter I think about you. The Lord thinks about the entire universewell being all the while, but then at that particular moment I am thinking justabout you." And as He ended the discussion with this we all werereflecting back - Indeed what a great blessing when you are in the thoughts ofthe Lord.
One couldn't but recollect the above on the beautiful morning of 5th Novemberin Prashanti. During darshan some of us had been waiting along with thousandother youth from Orissa in Sai Kulwant Hall for His blessings. We sat with theSai Anandam report in our hands and prayers in our hearts. As the car glided Hesaw us and beckoned to Him. We told Him about Sai Anandam as He looked lovinglyat the children’s photograph in opening page. Seeking His blessings all of usprayed to Him to visit Sai Anandam. He looked at us and with a smile said “Chala Santhosham!” (Very Happy) Then as the car moved amongthe devotees, till it reached the inner verandah of the mandir, Swami waslooking all the while at the report. As He looked at the children’s photographthat depicted them doing various activities in the Sai Anandam home, the Lord’shappiness was reflected in His eyes. And at that time He was thinking justabout His children and their love for Him.

SAI ANANDAM DIARY

Dec 12th- Bro. Lala and Bro. Manas took off on a bike to Bhadrak(around 130 kms away) to take a look at a few kids selected by the local Sai youth brothers over there. 2 children were finalised to join Sai Anandam. They are from really needy families who are affected by leprosy and eke out a living by begging. The condition of the families moved our brothers to tears and they resolved to do their best to help them and to pray to Bhagawan. Our brothers returned the next day with famous 'Palua ladoo' as a token of love for us.

Dec 14th- Some of our brothers along with local Sai youth started a project of taking Swami s name and message to all the villages near SAI ANANDAM. Starting from today , regular video shows of Bhagawans life and message will be shown on a lcd projector. The first show 'Pure Love' was organised today in Gothapura village, where our brothers had earlier organised a medical camp. Swamis presence was very much evident. From arranging the projector to the end of the show , we could feel His Hand guiding us. The villagers also were thrilled and requested us to arrange more such shows in the future. Many of them have developed staunch faith in Bhagawan over the past few months.

Dec 16th-- All our brothers met up in Sai Anandam at 2.30 pm. Honourable State President along with few senior members of the organisation paid a visit to discuss the arrangements for the visit of All India President on Jan 18th. They spent some time with the children. After they left, it was play time. Bro Manas Ranjan and Bro. Sai Ashish organised musical chairs and 'Dog and the bone' with Bhajans being played in the background. All of us turned kids once again and had a lot of fun. Then we finalised the tune of a song for the children composed by Manas bhai, a active member of Team Sai Anandam.
It was decided to put up a 'Childrens Corner' notice board for the kids tto showcase their talents. It was also decided to start 'Spiritual Diary' for them from next month. As Lala bhai will be visiting Parthi this month end, all of us decided to send letters to Swami through Him. Finally, we prayed to Swami to give us the strength to carry out His Divine Will and took leave of our little brothers.
