SAI ANANDAM Diary Sep 9th 07

Sep 3rd-- The last kid of the batch arrives.. ajay.. the youngest of the lot..3rd std.

Sep 5th-- One of the children in taken to a doctor because of a stomach ache. He is very home sick and bro lala and others are having plans of sendind him home. Bro manas , a Sai youth has joined in actively. He has the experience of working in a few children's homes earlier and that is a great help to us. The screws are being tightened on the kids this week as we are getting to know that they are pretty naughty in school. Recollecting all the sleepless nights some of us gave our teachers in school, we realise that its pay back time now.

Sep 9th-- The kids have had the first taste of parthi discipline this week. But today is different. Its not just any other sunday. Its parents meeting day. Most parents have started early in the morning and reached here by noon. The kids and parents have lunch together in Sai Anandam. Bro amrit and myself make our entry at 3 pm. We have a small session with all the parents. They are really happy and grateful to Bhagawan and the care takers. They tell us that their kids dont want to go home now. Even the boy who was home sick all week wants to stay back. The parents leave at 4 30 pm. A few tears are shed but in 5 mins its dodge ball time. After a while football takes over. Amrit and me are forced to join in and we are made to run mercilessly. After a while we call it quits but the little dynamos carry on.We have a small meeting to discuss our work. The kids have got onto their regular schedule by now thanks to the no nonsense attitude of bro lala and manas. We decide to carry on the good work. As the kids prepare for bhajans bro amrit and me take leave with a prayer for next sunday to arrive soon.
