aug 29th-- 3 more children are added to the five present. Had a chance to meet the kids in the evening along with another doctor and we did a quick health check up.
aug 30th-- one more kid joins in. He got late due to the last rites of his late father. The new kids have started going to school.
aug 31st-- another visit to Sai Anandam by me to deliver a carrom board given by bro amrit. the kids are busy in tutions as its study hours time. the kids are dewormed tonight. We discuss some disciplinary issues as the kids , we feel, are pampered by excess love by all here. sep 2nd-- bro sai ashish and manas visit in the morning. a tasty curry of paneer is prepared by bro sai ashish. Sony bhai visits at 3 pm and trains the local bal vikas gurus. I reach at 3.30. We have a story telling session with the kids. Then we have a few rounds of dodge ball ( bro ashish had got a bright red football this morning) I am already panting by the 4 th round , but the kids want more. They have all settled down well now. After a while the kids go indoors for carroms. Lala bhai and myself along with other caretakers have a small meeting , review our progress and set our targets for next week. A huge almirah donated by a Sai devotee arrives and we pull our pants up and get back to old days bringing out all our strength by shouting JAi SAI RAM.
As the sun sets on SAI ANANDAM, I leave with a heavy heart back to the mundane world. Its really a different world here. The words of our dear Bijay Misra Sir ring in my ears, " you are not uplifting the kids , but are uplifting yourself through this Divine venture". We are grateful to You, Lord , for giving us this chance to uplift ourselves. Sairam
